Zero to Sixty: The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible Does It in 4.4 Seconds

zerotosixty

It’s the middle of the week and you know what that means: Time for an adrenaline kick. We can’t think of a better way to get it than to watch a fast car whipping around a test track.

The fast car in question is the recently announced 2015 BMW M4 Convertible. Why is it so fast? For one, it was designed by BMW and it’s part of the M-series, so that’s reason enough right there, but if you’re looking for a more numerical explanation, how does 431 horsepower sound to you? That’s generated by a TwinPower Turbo straight 6-cylinder engine, so the convertible not only looks fast, it also sounds fast.

The hardtop retractable roof adds some weight to the convertible over the M4 Coupe that it’s based on, but lightweight seats, optimized structure, and a hefty dose of carbon fiber components help to offset those extra pounds. The important thing about this car is that you’re going to look great – especially if you drive one with those pristine red leather seats – whether you want one to throw around curves or just to cruise down the highway.

Pricing and release for the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible have not been announced yet, but if you want to find out more, you can consult Car and Driver’s first look. For everything else Bavarian, feel free to get in touch with the brand experts at Leith BMW.
