Yesterday, Elon Musk announced that 276,000 people had forked over $1000 to secure their Model 3s, totaling $276 million straight into Tesla\u2019s pockets. We were surprised until the Model 3 debuted, then we were on board. It\u2019s beautiful, and if it drives anything like the Model X or the Model P, it\u2019s going to be a hit.<\/p>\n<p>Aesthetically, the Model 3 is bold. Its design features a massive piece of glass that covers the entire roof, windshield, and rear windshield, as well as a grille-less front end.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-just-right.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2146\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2146\" src=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-just-right.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model 3\" width=\"876\" height=\"535\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.leithcars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-just-right.jpg 876w, http:\/\/blog.leithcars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-just-right-300x183.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.leithcars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-just-right-768x469.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 876px) 100vw, 876px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The huge windshield is a feature that we\u2019ve never seen on any vehicle, and it looks fantastic. Our only worry is that the Tesla Model 3 will be hard to keep cool (temperature). We can only imagine the heat a parked Model 3 with black leather seats could accumulate on a hot August day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-sun-roof-roof.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2147\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2147\" src=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/2018-Tesla-Model-3-sun-roof-roof.jpg\" alt=\"tesla model 3\" width=\"876\" height=\"535\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But if it does get too hot, just roll the windows down and step on the gas (electric).\u00a0 Musk has said in the past: \u201cWe don\u2019t make slow cars,\u201d and according to Tesla, the Model 3 will go from 0-60mph in less than six seconds.<\/p>\n<p>The Model 3 will also have a range of at least 215 miles on a full charge, but there\u2019s speculation that there will be models that push this range further. Tesla also continues to expand their Supercharger network across the country, here\u2019s a map of it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/siq4b7fwqita4n2hotoc.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2148\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2148\" src=\"#BLOGPATH#\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/siq4b7fwqita4n2hotoc.png\" alt=\"tesla model 3\" width=\"800\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll keep you posted on any new information about the Model 3, but it might be a long time.
