When you’re looking to buy or lease a vehicle, one of the greatest resources you have is research. Friend referrals, magazines, web sites, personal experience—all of these are helpful ways to learn about the vehicles you’re considering and the places from which you can purchase or lease from. For that reason, our Real People Matter blog series is about highlighting at least one example where a customer recently had a positive experience. It’s our way of encouraging you to look us up, ask around, go online, and anything else you can think of to learn our reputation. We’ve spent a lot of years investing in relationships, so we’re confident that we’ll be proud of what you find.

Today’s example is from Leith, Inc. Authorized Mercedes-Benz Sales & Service, our Raleigh Mercedes-Benz retailer. This is one of our most established locations having been started in 1972. The review we’re focusing on comes from DealerRater.com, an independent website for consumers to share their stories, and with which Leith has no relationship. The review, titled “Best Experience Ever!” was posted on April 4, 2014 by a user named “irvduffy.”

“I didn’t know what to expect when I began the process to purchase a Mercedes Benz, as it was my first time. I made a visit to the dealership in order to gain an understanding of Mercedes Benz products.”

We like reviews that come from people who have never visited us before. It means that we had to earn our business with no prior relationship, and gives us a chance to be friendly and impress.

“Matt Hoh met us when we parked, and after we explained what we were trying to accomplish, he took us in the right direction. I was not prepared to purchase that day, and told Matt that I would return the next day. There was absolutely no pressure, as I have experienced in other dealerships in the past.”

This is the encouragement of research we were talking about. Whether you begin online or like to check things out with your own eyes and ears, we understand that you have a lot of choices to consider. We do our best to help and provide the space you need to work things out according to your schedule.

“The next morning, I received a phone call from Leith Mercedes Benz to set an appointment up. When I arrived, Matt was waiting, ready to test drive the vehicle we were interested in. It was all so smooth! When I was indecisive, Matt was flexible.”

At this point, if irvduffy had decided to hold off on coming back, or to take more time to think, that would have been fine. Matt called just to show that we cared and were willing to provide resources to help irvduffy. Online research is good, but sometimes you want to test things out in person.

“We left with a 2014 GLK 350, and I was completely happy! The exchange of keys got my attention- Mercedes Benz is over the top on the classy stuff! A box with two glittering keys and a pen with the Mercedes Benz logo….for me, that was HUGE! The next day, I received a thank you letter from Matt, the card was another example of the high standard of Mercedes Benz! I am going to make a scrapbook of our first Mercedes experience!”
