Today is Thursday, so it’s time to cash in on the past three days of indirect vehicular verbiage and just spend one post talking about a car we’re really excited about in our Showroom and Tell column. Today that car is the 2015 Lincoln MKC, available now at Leith Lincoln in Raleigh.
The MKC is widely regaled as the first true Lincoln of the modern era. As part of the new direction of the company after rebranding several years ago, this car received its very own independent development team who have created the purest expression of Lincoln’s new design philosophy. This ideal starts with what we consider the best implementation yet of the split-wing grille which forms a visual unit with the headlights and signature LED accents. The large wheels and sculpted lines make the biggest visual impact on the sides, but the MKC’s best feature is its rear. The clamshell door is hydroformed from one piece of steel and allows for uninterrupted LED taillights.
Under the hood, the MKC brings youthful vigor to a venerated brand. With two EcoBoost engines to choose from, the 2.3L twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine is a variant of the one found in the 2015 Ford Mustang. It comes paired with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and equipped with paddle shifters and a Sport mode for when you really want to let loose.
Inside is your reminder that Lincoln is the pinnacle of American luxury. Thanks to the all-new Bridge of Weir Deepsoft leather, these are the most comfortable seats you’ll ever sit in. Also, the MKC team has triumphed with the first Lincoln steering wheel, a Wollsdorf leather-wrapped, Euro-stitched home for your hands that puts you in total control.
If you want to know more about the 2015 Lincoln MKC, there is an excellent series on the Leith Lincoln blog discussing the car’s Design, Quality, Personal Service, and finally a test-drive experience in the vehicle. That being said, the best way to get to know the MKC is to meet it personally, and the staff at Leith Lincoln would be more than happy to introduce you.
