Showwroomandtell

Earlier this week, the 2015 Ford Focus was announced ahead of its debut at the Geneva Auto Show next month. While it looks great, it won’t be available until later this year, so in the meantime, our Showroom and Tell this week will highlight its current iteration, the 2014 Ford Focus.

A car that looks good from any angle, the Focus stakes its image on the sleek curves and character lines coming together for a well-honed vehicle. It looks as if it’s in perpetual motion. There are a full seven trim-levels available under the Focus umbrella, and there’s a broad selection of standard and available wheels that give each car a unique look. No matter what, you can always choose the right Focus for you.

Performance-wise, the 2014 Focus comes standard with a 2.0L direct-injection I-4 flex-fuel engine. This base option provides drivers with remarkable fuel efficiency and a car that is fun to drive as well. Those who want an extra boost need only opt for the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, which comes in the Focus ST. Electric power-assisted steering and AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control smooth out the edges and greatly improve the Focus’s handling and comfort while you’re blazing down the highway. For the real enthusiasts, there is also the available PowerShift Automatic Transmission with SelectShift technology that gives you all the precision and control of a manual without the hassle of a clutch.

Inside, the Focus once again demonstrates its versatility, with interior options ranging from leather upholstery with French seams to RECARO sport seating to the ecoconscious materials of the Focus Electric. Available dual-zone climate control and the option of heated seats will keep you comfortable year-round. There’s also a full suite of available technology, including intelligent access, push-button start, active park assist, navigation and HD radio, and the MyFord Mobile App.
