Officially there are only two more days of winter left, which means we have plenty of time for at least one more video of an awesome car tearing up some snowbanks in Sweden. Here’s this week’s Zero to Sixty:
If you don’t know what rallycross is, it’s the hottest form of racing right now. Drivers race head-to-head on tracks of mixed elements, trying to outgun each other through a circuit en route to the finish line. It’s somewhat of a contact sport, too, which can make it all the more exciting. If you’re familiar with Ken Block and his Gymkhana series, you have an idea of what rallycross would be like.
Those who know Block also know just how capable a souped-up Ford Fiesta is, and when you throw a set of studded tires on it and take it out to a snowy track in the far north of Sweden, well… It’s as they say in the video description: “The cold, ice, and snowmen were no match.”
Leith Ford has an inventory of 2014 Ford Fiestas that won’t do this, but they’re great cars. Just saying.
