For this week’s edition of Zero to Sixty, our video of the week focuses on the design aspect of one of Lincoln’s more interesting expected cars, the MKC. As a new vehicle, it offered Lincoln’s design team an opportunity that many professionals are lucky to have once in their careers: the opportunity to make a brand-new model that will live on for years, entirely from scratch. This video shows how the team looked to diverse areas for inspiration, particularly the work of professional sculptors. How much of the spinning-wheel art style made it into the interior and exterior of the car? Take a look.
The MKC is Lincoln’s crossover SUV model, and was introduced just a few months ago at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show. With two EcoBoost engines to choose from and an expected summer 2014 release date, this will be a big moment for the automaker. Check out the video below, then tell us what you think of the design. Enjoy!
