We knew this was coming. Our first real look at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup! Feast your eyes on Jeep’s new four-door unibody truck – It’s beautiful. We just have one request: make a two-door, please.
This is Jeep’s first truck since the Comanche ended production in 1992. That’s a truck still loved by many, so we bet lots of people want to see a two-door.
What you can expect from the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup
It’ll have a steel unibody construction, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, four-wheel drive, and a choice of manual or automatic transmission. There are also rumors of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a turbo-diesel. Only time will tell if these make it to the Wrangler, though.
The Jeep pickup truck will join the GMC Canyon, Honda Ridgeline, and Toyota Tacoma in the midsize truck segment. We think it’ll be priced around those vehicles, which are in the low $30,000s. The regular Wrangler should be less.
Patience, friends
If you’re not happy with what you’re seeing, do not fret. That black-plastic car cover really isn’t flattering. Before long we’ll have some professional corporate photos of the new Jeep Pickup to drool over, so save your verdict ‘til then.
Also, if you’re interested, CEO Mike Manley has been spilling the beans left and right about new Jeeps. The Jeep truck is just one of many. And seeing as how they’re not being too careful with their vehicle testing, it shouldn’t be long before we see the next one. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the one to catch it in the wild.
