We’re back with two more installments of the Zero to 60 podcast, and this time we’re visiting with Leith Honda to check out the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. As we mentioned last week, this is a 50mpg* hybrid that still has plenty of pickup, and tons of technology. Listen in as Mark Arsen digs deeper into the Accord’s safety features.
Honda Lanewatch
There’s nothing we like more than safety upgrades. In our mind, cars have one purpose: getting you to your destination safely. So, when we hear about features like Honda Lanewatch, we can’t help but appreciate what they’re doing for the automotive industry.
For those who don’t know, Honda Lanewatch uses a camera positioned on your passenger mirror to feed live video of the blind spot to your infotainment screen. Basically, it removes the need to turn your head around (away from the road ahead) to check your blind spot. All you need to do is turn on your blinker, and look down at the infotainment center to see if you’re clear to merge. It makes merging a whole lot safer.
Honda Sensing
And to add insult to injury – or in this case compliment to safety – there’s Honda Sensing. Honda Sensing monitors your position in the lane, alerts you if you’re drifting out of the lane, and will even correct your position. It also features adaptive cruise control, which maintains a safe distance between the car you’re following. Both of these features will make your next long trip easier and safer than ever.
These features are a testament to Honda’s emphasis on what really matters when you get behind the wheel. Come to Leith Honda any time and take the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid for a test drive. We know first hand that you won’t be disappointed.
