Two things you might not know: 1) Honda and Acura are part of the same company. 2) A decade or two ago, Acura had a world-class super car called the NSX.
If you’re into cars, neither of those two facts are new to you. However, casual drivers might be surprised to know that these modest car companies once produced a car that could run with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche. After all, our previous episode was about how the 2017 Honda CR-V is the ultimate family car.
Two-thousand seventeen also happens to be the year of a brand-new NSX, and we are pleased to announce that we have one at Leith Acura in Cary, which is the subject of this podcast episode. What’s more, we’re hard at work producing a video episode, as well, so that you can check out the NSX on YouTube.
A world-class supercar deserves a world-class setting, which is why we’re creating a brand-new showroom for Leith Acura after 30 years in our previous building. You can still visit Leith Acura for sales and service in its temporary facilities near the old location. We don’t have an ETA for the new building, but it should be completed before the year’s end.
Listen to the podcast above and let us know on Facebook if there’s anything you’d like to see shown or incorporated into our upcoming YouTube episode. We can’t promise to break any traffic laws, however, so you’re best off sending those requests to Michael Bay.
In the meantime, you can whet your appetite by checking out Jerry Seinfeld’s episode with the new NSX on his show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Seinfeld is a huge NSX fan and actually received the very first of the NSX produced for free as a special thank you for creating and starring in their Super Bowl commercial for the vehicle a few years back. Must be nice!
